1. Open word document

2. Click insert, then click table. Select only 2 cells.

3. Click inside the cell and press space until you get the desired size you want. I usually like to place the image I want on the left hand side and wording on the right hand side. You can see from the above picture I have placed the photo of the couple on the right hand side.

4. Once you have placed the image make sure you re-size it properly so it will stand out.

5. On top of the image write the names of the couple, for example I inserted “Brian & Samantha”. Highlight the text and go to font and choose a font that you like.

7. Once you finish writing, go to clipart and select a floral border. Several different floral border designs will display that you can choose from.

8. For this tutorial I chose a simple green line border. As you can see from the above picture I placed one top and one bottom. I have also matched the color of the border and color of the text on top left hand side of the bride and grooms names.

9. Once you are finished format the size you would like and then save it. Take it to the printer or you can print it at home using special wedding invitation paper. As for the background you can leave it blank or use a simple design that appeals to you.

But when selecting a background, remember too much designs can make the invite crowded and old fashion. Remember simple is the best.
